The DJ Kicks series has continually served up some of the best compilations around. With past highlights from Tiga, Hot Chip and Chromeo, the Juan Maclean are well placed to take centre stage for this instalment in the series.The upcoming adaptation of John Le Carres Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy has done an impressive job of rounding up all of the top British talent available. Directed by Tomas Alfredson, the cast already includes the likes of Gary Oldman, Colin Firth, Benedict Cumberbatch, Ciaran Hinds, Ralph Fiennes and Tom Hardy. But because you cant have too many awesome British people in your cast, they are adding at least one more. The Daily Mail reports that Mark Strong has joined the cast of the film, though his role is unspecified. Set in the heart of the Cold War during the 1970s, the film centers on retired British intelligence officer, played by Oldman, who returns to duty in order to find a Russian spy that has invaded the secret service.This September, Becks is continuing its commitment to supporting music and art talent by offering British bands the chance to support Phoenix at a gig in Berlin this November. |
